Responsibilities:
- Provide care and assistance to patients in various settings such as assisted living facilities, hospice care, or private homes.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care activities.
- Follow all HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of caregiving systems and techniques.
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices as needed.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
